HR & Finance Administrator
About the role
As part of the Ambassadors Finance and HR team, you’ll work closely with the Financial Controller and HR Manager on a range of tasks to ensure that day-to-day finance and HR operations run smoothly.
Day-to-day tasks may include:
HR - Administration
Maintain and update employee records in our HR software (AFAS)
Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and support
Provide administrative support to the HR Manager (e.g. probation, performance, and sick leave management)
Review monthly sick leave records with our Insurance Company to ensure correct reimbursements
Request and renew work permits for knowledge migrants
Prepare employer statements, employment contracts, and freelance agreements
Apply for relevant employee benefits via the UWV
Finance Administration
Responsible for end-to-end payroll processing: collecting and verifying employee data, calculating monthly salaries, issuing payslips and annual statements, and troubleshooting discrepancies
Staying up to date with payroll legislation and tax regulations; ensuring AFAS software reflects current requirements
Point of contact for all payroll and salary-related questions
Reviewing expense claims and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursements
Managing payroll year-end closing and preparing for the new payroll year
Checking and processing incoming and outgoing invoices
Debtor management
Processing the general ledger
Supporting the Financial Controller with preparing monthly reports
About you
You have an MBO+ degree in Human Resource Management, finance, business administration or accounting
Ideally, you have a basic understanding of labor laws, HR software such as AFAS, and accounting tools like Unit4 Multivers or WorkBook — or a willingness to learn
You have a good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
You have strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
You’re proactive, pragmatic, and a structured team player
You work with accuracy, integrity, and professionalism
You’re capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively
You enjoy working collaboratively, but can also operate independently
