About the role

As a creative production studio with over 80 multidisciplinary artists working together under one roof, we’re always aiming to maintain a healthy environment for creative development. The HR team is key to ensuring that the employee experience runs smoothly, from first application through to the day-to-day administration such as vacation leave and issues management. This is a great opportunity to learn more about HR for a creative company and help make a difference in the way we run things.

In your role you’ll work closely with our HR Officer to ensure our HR department is proactive, organised and operates smoothly to attract, hire and retain creative talent.

Because you’ll need to deal with paperwork for the Netherlands, it’s important you’re fluent in Dutch.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the HR Officer on the entire recruitment lifecycle, from proactive candidate sourcing to on-boarding and off-boarding
• Serving as the first point-of-contact for employee questions and support, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution
• Providing clerical and administrative support to the HR Officer such as probation management, performance management, leave of absence, benefits and work permits
• Working with the wider team to gather input and finalise job descriptions, posting them to our hiring software platform Homerun clearly and consistently
• Compiling and updating employee records in our HR software AFAS
• Coordinating communication with candidates and helping schedule interviews
• Conducting the initial orientation for new employees
• Assisting with recruitment strategy to help us hire talented, diverse candidates
• Collaborating with the wider company on ad hoc talent and diversity initiatives and partnerships

About you

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is eager to kick-start their career in HR, culture and talent
• Has excellent organisational and communication skills
• Has a degree in Human Resources Management or a related field
• Ideally has basic understanding of labor laws and HR software, or a willingness to learn
• Is interested in people and talent management, with an idea of what makes a strong employee experience
• Can work well in Dutch and English
• Is a proactive, pragmatic team player, interested in making a difference in the way we run things and with an “I’ll figure it out” mentality
• Is detail-oriented and can be trusted to communicate with candidates and post data and job posts independently
• Can work accurately, professionally and with integrity
• Can juggle a range of different tasks and show initiative in structuring and prioritising your responsibilities
• Likes working together with the team to get the best results and grow your skills, but is also able to work independently
• Thrives working in (and helping bring structure to) a fast-paced and creative studio environment
