Frontend UI Developer

Ambassadors Lab, the studio for innovation and creative technology within Ambassadors, is looking for a full-time Frontend UI Developer based in our Amsterdam HQ.

Full-time · Amsterdam HQ

About the role

Ambassadors Lab is an international team of technology enthusiasts working on new products and workflows that change how the marketing industry works.

Our key software product – and what you’ll be working on – is Cube, a creative production platform that offers digital asset management, creative collaboration and creative automation solutions used by leading brands and advertising agencies such as Squarespace, Booking.com and 180.

As part of our frontend development team, your key responsibility will be building reusable UI components. Like all developers in the Lab, you’ll be in charge of your own code that’s clean, easily maintainable and of high quality. This means writing, testing and deploying features, and iterating based on QC feedback.

We are a growing, friendly team, so this is an opportunity to have a high impact on the product and collaborate with people from various disciplines. Day-to-day you’ll work with the frontend team lead, the product design team, and the backend team.

Do you have outstanding programming skills and a passion for developing beautiful, innovative applications? Then this role might be for you.

About you

  • You have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
  • You’ve got at least one year of experience in a role designing and building web apps or services, ideally at a small or midsize organisation
  • You’re familiar with web development fundamentals and modern techniques, and have a strong drive for high code quality
  • You’re eager to learn, ask questions, give and receive feedback, and develop your skills
  • You’re a proactive problem-solver who cares about users and what they need from our platform
  • You like exploring and leveraging new technology, standards and protocols as they emerge
  • You get excited at the thought of joining a growing product team within an established creative company
  • You’re proud of creating a slick, well-design, and innovative application
  • You’re able to express yourself with full professional proficiency of the English language and can provide clear updates on the progress of development (Dutch is a nice-to-have)
  • You enjoy translating design requirements into human-friendly UI components
  • You have experience working in the creative industry and an understanding of media formats and video processing is a nice-to-have

You have experience working with:

  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3+ and Javascript
  • Typescript, React, Material UI, JSS
  • Modular/component-based frameworks
  • Translating (Figma) designs to React Elements
  • Proper experience with ES6/ES2015 and beyond
  • Committing your work to a git repo
